Introduction

PowerNotes is a browser plug-in that seeks to unify and simplify the research and citation process. You can use PowerNotes to organize your research, take notes as you go, and keep track of passages you may need to reference later. Once you finish the research portion of your project, PowerNotes is able to export your work into a word processor of your choice.

PowerNotes is useful in a variety of ways, some of the most important include: tying quotations from text to their citations to make citing your work and keeping track of sources easier, note taking capabilityies that help you organize your ideas as you write, and direct functionality in your browser, reducing the amount of applications you need to have open to do your work.

Organization

This guide is organized into three sections:

  • "Getting PowerNotes" explains the process of getting registered and accessing PowerNotes.
  • "Using PowerNotes" explains the in's and out's of using PowerNotes.
  • "Exporting From PowerNotes" explains how to export your project to a Word processor of your choice.
