What is a Research Guide?
- a course- or topic-specific online guide to Kishwaukee College Library sources
- some are for specific courses, and others are for topics of more general interest (e.g., Graphic Novels)
- built by Kish librarians on the popular "LibGuides" platform
- a place for students to learn essential information skills!
How can a Research Guide help my students?
- instructional videos show them how to use Library search tools
- when used with sample research assignments students learn:
- how to get started on a project by narrowing a topic and finding background information
- how to think critically about information sources
- the concept of peer review, and how to find scholarly articles
- and more!
