Service Alert
If the Library already owns the current edition of the item, we will place the item on Reserve. Library course reserves are matched every semester with the current textbook adoption list. Old editions will be returned to the faculty. If you have an extra copy of the current edition, please consider bringing it to the library to put on reserve.
The Library will provide links to eResources that are included in the textbook adoption list. Instructors can also notify Library Staff of eResources and add them at your request.
The Library will provide links to OERs that are included in the textbook adoption list.
The Library can add Instructor's powerpoints, links to optional materials, lecture notes if they are supplied by the Instructor in a digital format. Physical items can be brought to the Library and kept with our print Course Reserves collection.
E-reserves are electronic versions of course-related materials that the Library makes available to students through Brightspace D2L and customized Research Guides. The Library will automatically provide links to eResources, such as OERs, included in the textbook adoption list. Instructors can notify Library Staff of additional eResources to be added upon request. For those currently linking to articles in their D2L courses, it is recommended you ask the Library to place these articles in E-Reserves. Articles and resources from the EBSCOhost and other resource databases can be included in E-Reserves. Additionally, eBooks, videos, or other electronic documents from the Library’s collection can be put on E-Reserve. The benefit of this is to comply with copyright and ensure that your students can access the reading material from our subscription databases. See the Library's A-Z Database List to access our resources.
