Backward Design
Design your course with the end in mind
What Is Backward Design?
Backward Design is an approach to building courses that starts with the ends (outcomes and objectives) rather than the means (textbook chapters, assignments, etc.). This approach helps to align learning activities and assessments with course outcomes, leading to a more meaningful and effective course design.
See this video (5:16) for a quick overview. Note: The video uses the term "objectives" the way we use "outcomes" at Kish.
