Schedule Recording Time

After you've done your Lightboard Intro session, reserve recording times that work for you.

What is a Lightboard?

A lightboard is a piece of glass infused with light and connected to a computer. It lets you make attractive and engaging video lessons for your students.

Example from Kish math professor Niki Rempfer:

What Can I Do With It?

The Lightboard can be used for either synchronous or asynchronous presentations. You can present synchronously with a live audience via Zoom, or record a video for later asynchronous viewing. You can also add digital overlays to the board, such as a PowerPoint, map, Word document, or other digital file.

Recording

To record a lightboard video to your Zoom cloud:

  1. On the Lightboard computer, sign in to Zoom and start a new meeting.
  2. When you're ready to record, click the Record button on your Zoom toolbar and choose "Record to the Cloud."
  3. Create your lightboard lesson.
  4. When you're done, click "Stop Recording."
  5. When your Zoom cloud recording is finished processing you'll get an email with a link to your video.
